An Earthquake that happened on September 7, 1999 in Athens, Greece

On 7 September, 1999, 2:56:50 pm a mighty earthquake struck near Athens. It was a moment magnitude of 6.0. It is caused by the African plat and the Eurasian plate pushing each other and causing the African plate to be beneath the Eurasian plate. As a result, 143 people died and more than 2000 were recovering from their treated injuries. Also, more than 100 buildings inclusive of 3 major companies collapsed. The government established critical communication links and told the public what was happening, rescued those who were trapped in the buildings, treated those who were injured, checked the safety of the critical facilities, controlled the traffic, distributed food and water, built some temporary houses. I think people should build a machine that will detect all natural disasters and a company that can evacuate people out of that country as soon as possible so that less people will be in that country and less people will get hurt.
